With a meagre amount from the sale of few Charm-e-qurbani a beginning was made 3 years back for establishing a
Baitul-mal with the main objectives of helping poor and destitute families. All praise to Allah(Swt),the Baitul-mal has since developed into a full fledged institution supporting
50 families of widowed women and orphaned childern by distributing about 5 quintals of food grains(Rice, Jowar and Wheat ) before 5th of every month . This is continued without any break from last 3 years . Clothes , sarees,
etc ., are also distributed to these families once a year on the eve of idul-Fitar. Interest free loans / advances are also extended for marriage ,medical treatment , educational expenses and other un-foreseen exigencies / emergencies.
The Baitul- Mal is funded mainly from centralised collection of Zakat, sale of specially printed calenders , sadaqats and sale proceeds of charm-e-qurbani and aqueequas.Baitul-mal also organises every year collection of Sadaqu-e-fitar on the eve of Idul-Fitar and distribution is arranged among needy well before the Idd.
A sum of Rs.15,000-00 was distributed as pooled sadaqy-e-fitar on last Idd.The amount routed through the Baitul-mal so far exceeds
Rs 2,50,000-00.The accounts are submitted openly in the masjid immediately after Juma Prayers on Jumm-a-tul-wida and after Namaz-e-Idd.
